Abstract

The planting of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) for elementary school students in Salam Harjo Village is a community service activity aimed at enhancing children’s knowledge, environmental awareness, and skills in maintaining health through the use of traditional medicinal plants. This program introduced various types of medicinal plants commonly found in home yards, such as ginger, turmeric, galangal, lemongrass, Javanese ginger, and betel leaf. Students were not only given explanations about the benefits of TOGA but also directly involved in planting, caring for, and observing the growth of the plants. The results showed that students gained a better understanding of the importance of health, developed environmental awareness, and cultivated responsibility and teamwork skills. The activity received positive responses from students, teachers, and the local community and is expected to become a sustainable program at the school.
