Abstract
Teaching reciting in PAUD (Early Childhood Education) is a learning process carried out by teachers or educators to teach early childhood children the basics of Islam, especially reading Aquran. The purpose of teaching early childhood recitation is to form children's faith or beliefs about Islam, develop Arabic language skills in children, and shape children's character to be better and more religiously obedient. The main aspects of teaching children to recite hijaiyah are teaching starting from the most basic stage, namely introducing and training children to memorize and pronounce Arabic letters correctly. Learning punctuation marks (harakat), after getting to know the letters, children are taught how to read letters with various harakat (fathah, kasrah, dammah, and others) to form syllables.
